Terms & Conditions of Sale – Bed Frame Direct
Introduction
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) set out the basis on which Bed Frame Direct (“the Company”) supplies goods to you (“the Customer”). By placing an order on our website (www.bedframedirect.co.uk), you agree to be bound by these Terms. We recommend you read them carefully before ordering. They do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
1.0 General
1.1 All orders placed with Bed Frame Direct via our website are subject to these Terms at all times.
1.2 Nothing in these Terms shall affect the statutory rights of a consumer.
2. Definitions

“the Customer” – Any person, business, or organisation placing an order with the Company.

“the Goods” – Any products supplied by the Company to the Customer under a contract.

“the Premises” – The delivery address provided by the Customer at the time of order (England, Scotland, and Wales only, unless otherwise agreed).

“the Price” – The price of the Goods as listed on our website.

“Force Majeure” – Any event outside the Company’s control.

“Company Literature” – Any printed or electronic materials (catalogues, brochures, price lists).

3. General Terms
3.1 Prices shown on the website are valid until changed or updated by the Company.
3.2 The Company reserves the right to amend prices at any time, including after order placement, if necessary.
3.3 All prices are exclusive of delivery unless stated otherwise.
3.4 The Company may withdraw any product from sale at any time without liability.
3.5 Agreed variations to an order may result in a price change.
3.6 Any typographical or clerical errors in published information can be corrected without liability.
3.7 Product details, measurements, and colours are approximate and may vary. Images may show headboards for illustration only (sold separately unless stated).
3.8 The Company is not responsible for bed frame damage caused by incorrect assembly, use without anti-slip pads on hard flooring, or dragging the bed when assembled.
3.9 Mattress and base sizes may vary by up to ±2.5% due to the handmade nature of products.
4. Orders & Contracts
4.1 These Terms apply to all contracts.
4.2 A contract exists once the Customer has placed an order and payment has been received in full.
4.3 Changes to an order after placement are treated as amendments, not new contracts.
4.4 Cancellations incur a £30 fee plus 5% of the order value. Additional charges of up to £40 may apply if delivery has already been scheduled.
4.5 Special order items may incur a restocking fee of up to 50% and cannot be returned once unsealed due to hygiene reasons.
5. Delivery
5.1 Delivery will be arranged once payment is received.
5.2 Estimated delivery is within 28 days, but times are approximate and not guaranteed.
5.3 The Company is not liable for delays beyond its control.
5.4 Delivery is to the Customer’s nominated address; adequate access must be provided.
5.5 The Customer must inspect Goods upon delivery and report any issues within 48 hours.
5.6 Bed Frame Direct is not liable for costs if parts are missing or damaged after third-party assembly has begun.
5.7 If the Customer requests delivery to a safe place without being present, this is at their own risk.
5.8 Failed deliveries may incur a £60 re-delivery fee.
6. Price & Payment
6.1 The Customer agrees to pay the Price at the time of order.
6.2 All prices include VAT unless otherwise stated.
6.3 Payments are processed via Stripe, debit/credit card, or PayPal.
6.4 Late payments may incur interest at 4% above Barclays Bank base rate.
6.5 Refunds for part-returns of bundles will be calculated based on individual product prices.
7. Risk & Ownership
7.1 Risk passes to the Customer upon delivery.
7.2 Ownership remains with the Company until full payment is received.
8. Quality & Warranty
8.1 All Goods are supplied in line with statutory requirements for quality and fitness for purpose.
8.2 Natural materials (e.g., wood, leather, velvet) may vary in colour or texture.
8.3 The Company’s liability for defects is limited to repair or replacement within 12 months of delivery, subject to proper use.
9. Liability
9.1 The Company’s liability is limited to the value of the order.
9.2 The Company is not liable for indirect, special, or consequential losses.
9.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it cannot be excluded by law.
10. Privacy
Your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available on our website.
11. Force Majeure
The Company may cancel or suspend performance of a contract if prevented or delayed by events outside its control (e.g., strikes, transport delays, supplier shortages).
12. Intellectual Property
All designs, images, and content remain the property of the Company.

14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the English Courts.
